What's the point?

This is to cause a media shit-storm, raising awareness to the sexist man that is getting all the attention. Share it, use the hashtag, add to the storm. Also, it's kinda fun.

Then, who should I vote for?

That's not the point. We're not officially supporting any one candidate. The people who started this hashtag don't really care who you vote for, as long it's a decent human being who respects women. Trump has proven that he's not that person.

What does that finger thing mean?

Ladies, if you are saying, "no access" with your body, keep those legs closed. And if you want to signal that same sentiment using your fingers, it's cheeky to cover up your middle finger with your pointer. F#ck you? No thank you.

What if I’m dating/married to someone who is not supporting Trump?

Answer: Whew, thank goodness. You can (and should) join the cause! It is a signal to all men of how women feel. And also, it’s just kind of fun.

What if I don’t know any Trump supporters?

Answer: You can (and should) join the cause! The number of woman talking about this is a signal to all men of how we feel about Trump, and blatant sexism in general. And, the statistics say you do know some. We know that sounds crazy, but they’re out there voting.

Isn’t framing this up as an abstinence movement degrading to women? Why does it have to be about sex?

A Sex Strike, or a Sex Boycott is a non-violent form of active protest. In the same way that you could abstain from conversation with people who are promoting a bigot, you can abstain from sex. This is a tried and true method of getting men’s attention when they’re being dumb.

What did he even say about women?

Concerning women: “You have to treat ’em like shit.” (New York magazine, Nov. 9, 1992)

"I think the only difference between me and the other candidates is that I'm more honest and my women are more beautiful."

"[Ariana Huffington] is unattractive both inside and out. I fully understand why her former husband left her for a man--he made a good decision."

"All of the women on The Apprentice flirted with me--consciously or unconsciously. That's to be expected."

“A person who is very flat-chested is very hard to be a 10.”

In a 2005 Howard Stern interview, Trump talked about how he wanted to have more kids with newlywed wife Melania: “I mean, I won’t do anything to take care of them.”

“Oftentimes when I was sleeping with one of the top women in the world I would say to myself, thinking about me as a boy from Queens, ‘Can you believe what I am getting?’”

“You know who’s one of the great beauties of the world, according to everybody? And I helped create her. Ivanka. My daughter, Ivanka. She’s 6 feet tall, she’s got the best body.”

“If Hillary Clinton can’t satisfy her husband what makes her think she can satisfy America?”

"Angelina Jolie is sort of amazing because everyone thinks she's like this great beauty. And I'm not saying she's an unattractive woman, but she's not beauty, by any stretch of the imagination. I really understand beauty. And I will tell you, she's not — I do own Miss Universe. I do own Miss USA. I mean I own a lot of different things. I do understand beauty, and she's not."
